Salmon darns, mashed potatoes and a selection of veg.
Stewed apple and whipped cream for desert.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Lunch with our Italian friend is the main meal today.

Nibbles then lamb's liver stroganoff with rice. Can't make up my mind about pud. I was going to make fruit salad but have just discovered Mr Snoop has finished the oranges and I finished the grapes the other day. We both thought there were more left. A cake of some variety or other then. Also want to make some bread, so better get on that case right away.

We ended up having sausage and saffron risotto last night.

Salmon baked with lemon and capers, potatoes dauphinoise, carrots and peas.

Snoop, the same thing has happened with our fruit this week....it's been eaten much quicker than usual. Apart from tinned, dried and frozen, there's only bananas left and I bought lots of them as if any get really ripe I'm planning to make banana loaves. The little tangerine/satsuma things have been so nice this year and they're small enough to grab in passing. If I get Mr GF's newspaper from the mini Sainsburys this morning they'll probably have more.

Valencian oranges are good at the moment, GF. Much better now than the mandarines and the like.

Beef burgers with curly fries. I have cooked, but not for tonight - one large cheese and onion tart for tomorrow and four individual ones for the freezer.

                      All change!

After finishing off last nights quiche with salad at lunchtime we've decided to put off the salmon until tomorrow. At Mr GF's suggestion I'll make tomato soup tonight. I think this might have something to do with him spotting/smelling a fresh loaf of bread.

Rabbit and chestnut casserole. She says confidently... I've just made that up as an idea. Add some bacon, bound to be good. Bacon makes everything nice. I'll freeze some portions too.

Ham, sausage and bean casserole using our own freshly dug carrots too ( whilst the ground is still diggable!)
We’ve got some chestnuts we picked needing eating- so good idea Snoop - I’ll put in a handful of those too!

Rice pud and stewed apple for pud.

Huge sandwiches for breakfast so probably just a piece of cheese and onion tart later. I'm munching on a box of chocolates now!
