Chicken, beer battered onion rings, chips and peas and sweetcorn. The onion rings are a treat for me and the chips a treat for Mr GF.
I'm got quite a bit of old bead so I'm thinking of making some bread pudding. I've been googling recipes. Basically bread, milk, egg, sugar, dried fruit, spice and maybe a splash of booze all scrunched up together and baked.
Cottage Pie with a bit of Shepherd included (left over lamb from Monday that I minced and chucked in - I hate waste), cabbage and carrots. It stretched the meat, so I made two extra for the freezer - result!

Snap!!!!
I butter my bread and use cream if I’m feeling in need of cholesterol
I often use jam instead of sugar.
Booze?…mmm…what is suggested?
Nicos, if I've made bread and butter pudding I leave the bread in slices and butter it and add homemade marmalade. This I'm hoping is more reminiscent of a Spanish "pudin", or "pudden" l'm not sure of the spelling. I've just put it in the oven now, a loaf tin size. I added a good glug of whisky for good measure.
Ham sandwiches with a sneaky salad. Strawberry trifle (bought I'm afraid, first time of trying, but have swum the channel because they've substituted the cheap one I chose with one that's twice the price)
Slow cooker 'roast' chicken. I've seen pot-roasted recipes (cover in liquid, cook for 5-6 hours on high) and roast chicken recipes (only 100 ml in the pot, cook on low for 5 hrs 30 mins). Hope I don't makes us ill!
