Teacakes here, not too far north of you, come in two varieties; plain or currant. Oven bottom cakes are bigger annd baps are smaller. What do you call what we would call plain teacakes?
I'm laughing at the teacakes/breads
I know teacakes as spiced with fruit, toast them then lash with butter.
Over the border theyre biscuit with marshmallow.
I know bread rolls here and finger rolls for hotdogs ,then there's barm cakes of my parents and stotties of the north east( like barm but bigger).
it goes on and on.
I think will get a chicken whilst out from the farm shop, probably have with green salad and maybe do a lentil salad/potato salad/coleslaw something or other.
