Cooking Tonight #5

Tonight will be what we were going to have last night: Fish fingers, hash browns, peas and homemade tartare sauce.

Strawberries and cream.

Snoop, you have just inspired me for another day. I'd forgotten all about schnitzels/escalopes.

Bacon, egg, sauté potatoes, fried onions, fried mushrooms and fried baked beans.

No black pudding, tomatoes or soda bread though. Plate's weren't big enough...

Baked pasta dish for builders' lunch.

By the way, the meatballs and rigatoni went down well. Everybody liked the rigatoni, easy to spear, no chasing them round the plate, took the sauce well. Will have them again.

I've just given Mr GF the choice of lamb chops OR salmon OR soup. He's picked soup.

It will be tomato and basil (made with homemade chicken stock) served with a dish of parmesan to sprinkle in and bread and butter.

Strawberries and/or nectarines and cream😋

Lunch today: salad, lightly salted cod on sanfaina (slices of courgette in an onion and tomato sauce) with bread. Loquats for afters.

We'll have leftover tomato soup for lunch, a bit healthier than Mr GF's lunch yesterday (a lump of a friend's cake we'd been given and a nectarine).

Tonight I think lamb chops, mint jelly, new potatoes, carrots and peas.
