Not a whole chicken...Just some breast fillets and bung in whatever vegetables are in the kitchen and fridge, a tin of tomatoes and whatever herbs take my fancy in the garden (Thyme, lemon savory and sage this time).Last edited by Mark Rand; 22-06-2024, 08:23 PM.Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

Last night: blue corn tortillas with a beany filling with salad, baked peaches and ice cream for pud.
Cooking today: lunch will be courgette and feta filo pie plus salad. Cherries for pud (I hope). Pizza for supper with maybe a peach tarte tatin. If not, more baked peaches. Peaches are in season here and M up the valley bought a load, as did I. So it's peach overload here.
Plus bread and madeleines.
I think this might be a bit too ambitious for one day on reflection. Baked peaches rather than tarte tatin it is. Less flour too after pizza.

Today I'm thinking a quiche of some kind, salad, and either new potatoes or bread (between the salad and the quiche use up lots of bits of veg in the 'fridge).
Maybe a trifle to use up the blueberries and nectarines. I'm sure I've got a chunk of Victoria sponge in the freezer that can go in the base.Last edited by greenishfing; 23-06-2024, 11:00 AM.
