We did have takeaway fish and chips last night. I tried a different fish shop as there is an awful set of roadworks between where I live and the Wetherby Whaler I usually go to. I googled and found one I've never been to before in the opposite direction. The reviews were excellent and so were the fish and chips.....also cheaper. The portions were massive however. Next time we'll share one portion.
Not got any inspiration for tonight yet.

We ended up having a cheese and wine evening last night.
Trying for the slow cooker chicken today, weather permitting (it's quite cloudy at the moment). If not, it'll go in the gas oven.
Edited: I put the chicken in the gas oven for 45 minutes at the end as solar power ran out. That made the skin nice and brown as well. It looked altogether more appetising! Lessons: cut veg much, much smaller; start earlier and gain more experience so I can judge if recipe timing is likely to be right (in this case, not). Good experiment, though.
