Cabbage, bean, sausage and potato soup in the slow cooker. I'll only have a small bowl, honest!

Last night was a pierrade ( cooking on a stone) and it was delish! Not had one for ages.
True to form, we finished eating just before midnight…so I’m not really thinking about today’s dish.
Nice link Snoop - it has got me fancying a coleslaw with something. Think I need a skip diving sesh into the freezers to see what I fancy to go with that.

I've put in half as much sausage in as she does, two small ordinary ones and one 'choricet' or 'chorizillo', a banger-sized chorizo for cooking with, so that should really up the flavour. Only been on for 40 mins or so and I can already smell it. The dogs are going to spend the day salivating!

Edited to add (five mins after main post): Mr Snoop has just walked in the kitchen and said 'Wow! Something's smelling good. What is it?'. I reckon it's the choricet that is making all the difference. Clearly a good addition.

The soup was OK. Even had a small bowl for breakfast. Will try different tomatoes next time, though, as it seems a wee bit sour in flavour.

Mr GF has had an upset stomach this weekend so we've had boring food, soup, poached eggs, etc

Today haggis, mashed potato and swede, cabbage and creamy gravy (with a splash of whisky in it).

We have coleslaw and lettuce to finish off, so I fancy something with beans and lentils in a casserole to go with them

The rest of the trifle for pud.
