I also haven't made soup as when we left Mr GF's podiatry appointment in a nearby town I realised that my favourite fish snd chip shop, which "could" be on our way home, was open all afternoon today🙂. We called on the way home.

Therefore fish, chips and mushy peas, with a breadcake to make a little chip butty🙂😀.

Today I'll probably make the soup I was going to make yesterday to hopefully be followed by strawberries and cream.

I’ve not bought any strawberries yet this year. Having had a good sniff at the package , the scent isn’t very strong. I presumed that’s because they’re not sun ripened….Are yours really tasty?
I’m really looking forward to having some but the last pack I bought a month ago were tasteless

I never normally buy strawberries at this time of year but the ones I bought last week looked so good I couldn't resist, really dark red with no white tops. They were gorgeous. Since then we have had them every day but one, yesterday, when they had sold out. This morning I went to the shop early and got two packs for us and one for my brother in law. There weren't many left even though I went early.

Yesterday when I returned home I only got as far as the front door when an awful smell assaulted me. I searched high and low for the source. Eventually I found it, a small orange going mouldy. I can't believe such a little thing could create such a vile stench.

Pre dinner fruit today is half peach, apple, banana along with a few chunks of mango from the freezer.
