  • Pan fried chicken breast, sliced pan fried potatoes and a selection of veg.
    strawberries and icecream.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Lunch is the main meal today: broccoli curry with rice. Not sure about naan. Dried fruit salad for pud.

Tea had better be better than yesterday's: big glass of vermouth and a bag of crisps. Again...

      • Not sure - probably a spinach and cheese omelette served with asparagus and a sneaky salad.
Orange for pud. This batch of oranges are absolutely delicious and juicy!

          • Looks like pizza - it must be Friday Extra mushrooms on it for Himself and a yellow pepper, though he'll pick that off

            • I fancy something a bit spicy. Mr GF wants soup.

Consequently curried butternut squash soup (Mr GF's favourite soup at the moment) with a dish of grated parmesan to sprinkle over and bread and butter.

              Strawberries and cream.

              • I didn't feel like much so had toasted sandwiches.
OH cooked the piece of ham so it was ham and cheese toasties.

                Tonight??

                        • It looks as if it's leftover day. More of last night's curried butternut squash soup for lunch.

We've got bacon to use up. So for tonight I've eventually decided on bacon, mushrooms and other leftover bits in a creamy sauce. I was going to do it with pasta but remembering Mr GF's reaction to "string" last time I'll settle for toast instead.

For a change nectarines and cream.

                          • Oh Words!!!

I just opened up the oven to put the bread into it after warming it up to 200°C, and realised that I'd put tomorrow's pork chops in there to defrost. In their plastic bags...😦

I'll let them cool down and see if I can peel the plastic off or whether we need to have a stew for Sunday lunchtime.
