Will use up the ham in a salad, maybe new potatoes and there's an avocado to use.

Chicken pieces with figs in a pomegranate molasses and honey marinade, salad and potato cake.
Edited: all change as we have a friend coming for supper, but at an unknown time. So freekeh with feta and bits (roasted, red pepper, sundried tomato, that kind of thing).Last edited by Snoop Puss; 09-06-2024, 05:20 PM.

Oops indeed Mark….Easily done. I stopped defrosting by leaving things in my oven when I noticed flies could get in and at them
Tonight we are having asparagus to start, then seabass with homemade coleslaw and a side salad followed by defrosted frozen pears with Greek yogurt"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

The plastic bags came off the pork quite easily, I think the greasiness of pork chops helped in that! Chopped up the semi cooked ones on the outside of the pile* and turned them into a stew with the courgette, onion, leek Chanteney carrots and Anya potatoes that would have gone with the fried chops otherwise. It was quite nice and the flavour wasn't affected at all. Rescued two of the chops out of the middle of the pile, which we'll have later in the week.
*Our butcher makes large chops 15oz each.
The sourdough bread is alright as wellLocation:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

I've just baked a sourdough too. Added chia seeds and cheese this time. Not cut it yet.Last edited by Containergardener; 09-06-2024, 07:53 PM.Northern England.
