Cooking Tonight #5

[Florence Fennel]

I was out for lunch yesterday, so pizza with extra toppings is tonight.

Our usual tagliatelle and bol.

Parma ham and melon followed by lamb chops, kale and/or chard with gnocchi
Freshly picked cherries for pud

Home cooked ham, roast potatoes and a selection of veg.
Stewed apple and ice cream.

Another bung it chicken, with the chicken we didn't use in yesterday's curry (30+ yo kids have finally left home, but all the meat I've got in the freezer is parceled up for 4 or 5 portions instead of 2).

Made another batch of kimchi.

Just used my shiny new steam juicer to make about 2l of jostaberry cordial. The leftover pulp will probably be used in a crumble for tomorrow.

And now that the berries have vacated the freezer, there is finally space again for cat food, so that's what I'll be making now to the delight of Tessy cat.

Oh and for the humans it's a big lentil salad for dinner.

Have some pork steaks so perhaps with mushrooms in a cream sauce, veg and new potatoes?

Doro wat (from the freezer) plus lentils and rice. Yogurt for pud, I think.

We're having a baked sausage ring with Yorkshire pud, mashed potatoes, cabbage and carrots.

I was completely out of inspiration earlier and had more or less decided on fish pie when I changed my mind to risotto. Not sure what sort yet. Either chicken OR prawn and cod.

Strawberries and cream. (If I can get nice strawberries).

Well it wasn't pork OH took out. It was beef steaks (I'm not a fan). Ended up as curry which he got most of the beef.
I keep saying to label the meat when freezing but he knows best

^^^ Even when I label the things I put in the freezer, they mysteriously swap the labels around between them after I've closed the lid.
