      • Today I have in my mind beans to go with the last of the roast chicken.
Thinking cannellini with fennel/herbs/cream and will harvest some poddy peas and broadies for colour, maybe some shredded chard/spinach too. Green salad and crusty bread?

        • More of the globe artichoke followed by a tumble salad (staring mackerel and sweetcorn)
…followed by a diet trifle and skyr

            • Last night's ribs were awful, tough and gristly. We win't ve having those again in a hurry.

I'm thinking salmon tonight with new potatoes, broccoli, and carrots.

              Strawberries and cream.

Change of plan. OH thinks we should make the most of the weather and bbq. So:
                lamb kofta
pork chop which will be marinated (I'm thinking goan flavour)
salad and I might do some Moroccan rice
                yoghurt and mint dressing /dip

                  • Roast chicken, home grown potatoes and a mixed salad.
                    Stewed rhubarb and icecream.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                        • Sticking with brunch for today: falafel, potatoes with burrata and mixed salad.

Edited to add: there's a chicken in the fridge with a use-by date of today. Might roast it (oven in the garage, thank goodness) with lemon and garlic to have cold tomorrow.

                            • Snoop, I've got a chicken that needs cooking today too, but neither of us fancy chicken. I'll roast it with lemon, onion and tarragon anyway for another day. Knowing me it will end up as a naked (skinless) chicken by the time it's cooled however. I can not resist crispy chicken skin.

I think tonight we'll have curried sweet potato soup made with homemade chicken stock (out of the freezer) and coconut milk. A dish of parmesam to go with it.

                              Strawberries and cream.
