Cooking Tonight #5

Cod cutlets, home made chips and a side salad.
A magnum for desert.

I’m defrosting some mince so it’ll either be spag bol and salad or chilli con carne and salad tomorrow.
Fresh plums off the tree and yog for pud.

Tonight was homemade tomato soup with bread and butter.

Strawberries and cream.

Well, I resisted the cake and ice cream for tea and had salad instead.

Slice of cake (no ice cream at least) with coffee for breakfast.

Brunch will be chicken with veg in a sweet bean sauce plus rice.

Minestrone soup with sourdough this evening.

If the traffic is light and I can be bothered I'm going to fetch us fish and chips from a chippy a couple of miles away tonight.

There are still strawberries leftover from my jam making, so they'll be for afters, with cream.

Pizza tonight with one of those cheeky salads

I made the trip to the chippy this afternoon. We skipped lunch and were hungry. It was cooked while I waited and I was home in under 5 minutes. I added leftover homemade tartare sauce and bread and butter. Utterly gorgeous!

Tonight was the spag Bol and tomorrow will be the chilli con carne.
Plenty left too to freeze down

OH has taken pork steaks/chops from the freezer and is talking bbq. (Providing the rain gives over)

No cooking for me today. Big birthday lunch out with all the people in the village born in the same year. I know what I'm having (booked in advance) but there were no 'light' options, so I must remember not to eat all my starter or I'll never make it to the main course. And I'd better not eat all the main course either, or else I'll not make it to the figs in maraschino ice cream, which is what I'm most looking forward to.

^Bit posh for that. Plus I think our fellow fifty-niners might turn their noses up at that. At most, I'll take a bag in my bag for bits for the dog. Well, the dog will be my excuse if anyone spots me.
