Tried it tonight with runner beans, whole fresh tomatoes a couple of himalayan and one jalapeño chillis (so very mild). Didn't add any water, but added some left over Crème fraîche at the end to give the sauce a bit more body. Amchoor/mango powder would have worked as well.

    It went down alright.

    • I’m a bit of a carnivore tbh…..^^^^ would a bit of chicken or Turkey work well with the beans Mark/ Bren ?

      • I'd probably do it as and additional dish, using one or the other as the side dish, rather than mixed in with the beans.

Sorry can't help you there I don't eat either chicken or turkey.

I'd go with Marks suggestion of a additional curry in the past I've used leftovers from the freezer last time it was Saag aloo.

              • Last night was curried sweet potato soup with a dish of parmesan and bread and butter. Strawberries and cream.

At the moment for tonight I'm thinking haggis, mashed potato and swede, carrots, creamed leeks and creamy gravy.

                            • Well that's me scuppered. Mr Snoop has decided no cabbage. He wants sausage and saffron risotto instead. And I have to say sausage and mash with onion gravy tomorrow sounds like a winner. Some cabbage at least...
