  • ^Now look what you've started, Bren! Just as well I haven't mentioned sausage rolls to Mr Snoop. I'd never hear the last of it.

Anyway, fish, chips and green beans tonight. So we aren't exactly suffering.

Loaf of whey and rye bread plus pizza dough on the go. Mr Snoop is champing at the bit at the idea of home-made bread again. I've had to tell him to hold his horses, as it's only 15 ºC in the kitchen, so the loaf will take quite a while.

    • Oi you lot…stop it please with all this talk about sausage rolls!
Our sausage meat is totally different ( no cereal) and our puff pastry isn’t as flakey.
Although…I suppose I could roll and fold it buttered a few more times….

      oh dear…. Where there’s a will there's a way eh!?

          • Made an Ethiopian spiced cabbage dish with my dinky homegrown mini-cabbage (with carrots, potatoes, cumin and turmeric). Never made this before but it was very tasty. I'll keep that recipe.

If you enjoyed that, have a look at misir wat for a spicy Ethiopian lentil dish. If you eat meat, doro wat (chicken dish) is really good with it. I love berbere. Bit hot but delicious hot!
