  • Last night was fish pie with carrots and broccoli, followed by strawberries and cream.

Tonight: Fish fingers, potato waffles, peas and parsley sauce.

Trifle (shop bought) for Mr GF. Crackers and blue cheese for me when I get round to making coffee.

    • Tonight risotto. Pea, sweetcorn and salmon I think.

The strawberries weren't worth buying yesterday, (underripe and hard) so I might make a small blueberry crumble tonight to have with custard or cream.

          • Atakilt Wat, as shared by MelanieSW, followed by rice pud.

See, I knew I'd find inspiration here. Thanks, Melanie.

Edited. Mr Snoop says he fancies fish. He'll be getting Atakilt Wat tomorrow come what may.

                • Following Florence's example, tonight was sausage, egg, baked beans and chips.

Tomorrow will be beef stew with sourdough dumplings.

Plenty of leftover roast veggies so this evening we're having them along with poached eggs and beans. Looking forward to the fry-up.

                    • Last night's blueberry crumble was a great success. I'd forgotten how nice it is. I'd bought a massive box of blueberries when I went shopping so the rest are bagged in pie sized amounts in the freezer. I also inadvertently made twice the amount of crumble topping, so the extra of that is in a jam jar in the fridge. Nice to know that next time I fancy it, it will be prepared in about a minute.

Tonight soup. I think I'll make tomato and basil to have with bread and butter and a dish of parmesan.

                      Not sure about pud yet.

                      • The usual throw out, but I am cooking - chicken tikka wraps for the freezer, they're my stand-by when Himself "only wants a sandwich"

                          • Plans have changed. When we visited Mr GF's brother we drove past our latest favourite fish and chip shop and Mr GF has decided that's what he now fancies later. I'm more than happy to go along with this. Mustn't forget the scraps today.

Egg custard (bought) for Mr GF if he has room. I'd rather use the space for a little chip butty.

                            • Another change of plan!
Salmon with broccoli followed by profiteroles.
