    • I’m making a starter of a smoked salmon dome stuffed with philli cheese and prawns.
A simple steak, chips and green beans for the main course followed by fresh pineapple and ice cream with a slice of almond cake.

      • Right, no being swayed by Mr Snoop's wants and not wants now the new year has started.

The pea and leek curry with chickpea biryani we should have had days ago. And yes, pineapple for afters.

earlier I had a dish of peaches, mango and greek yoghurt.

          • Mashed potatoes, hake, peas, carrots and corn.
            Mince pies and cream.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                • Chickpeas baked in the oven with tomatoes, garlic and black pudding.
                  Pineapple for afters.

Might make a cake later (Two Fat Ladies Danish apple and prune cake - perhaps my favouritest cake ever).

                  • Tonight fish fingers, potato waffles, peas and parsley sauce.

I've got blueberries in the freezer. I'm thinking blueberry, or apple and blueberry crumble.

                    • Naked beans and cheese on toast. It's just occurred to me that I haven't had a mince pie, or Christmas pudding! "Too late was the cry"

                      • Chicken breast stir fry with all the bits and bobs left over from Christmas with rice.
Mince pies and Baileys ice cream.

                          • Flo! Even I've had Christmas pudding and mince pies! Now's a good time to buy mince pies and mincemeat, as they're bound to be on special offer so the supermarkets can start stocking up on Valentine's Day chocolates and the like. Mince pies are my favourite Christmas food. My gran used to make them with puff pastry, so I do the same. I didn't post any on the festive specials thread because they look utterly daft, but lovely with the lid lifted off and cream splurged in.

For us for supper: minestrone soup with bread. Dried apricot fool for afters.

                            • Soup here as well. Mushroom, I think, but made with some of my chicken stock. A dish of grated parmesan and some bread and butter to go with it.

Probably mince pies and brandy cream, unless when I pop into the little Sainsburys for my brother in law's TV magazine, something more exciting jumps off the shelf at me.

I love homemade mince pies but we still bought 2 boxes of half price ones yesterday.
