Cooking Tonight #5

Our usual Saturday evening Tagliatelle, bol, pesto, parmesan and garlic bread.

Aubergine parmigiana, orange for afters.

Will also make banana and raisin loaf cakes (one for us, one for the freezer, one for the neighbours) and a pair of focaccia (one for us, one for the neighbours).

I've got beef mince cooking with a bit of onion, mushroom, finely diced carrot and thyme, in the slow cooker, ready to make the base of a cottage pie later. I think we'll have some French beans and cauliflower cheese with it.

A marscapone and cherry dessert for Mr GF (from the supermarket) and blue cheese and crackers for me.

Bacon, eggs, fried onions and chips tonight.

Roast beast tomorrow.

Last night was roasted veg with feta served with a ‘left overs’ frittata
Fresh fruit salad for pud.
Tonight is haggis with something I’ve not seen in the shops - buds of curly kale.( Bit like blown sprouts) and jacket spuds.

Cheese and biscuits for pud.

Haggis, neeps and tatties with a little whisky sauce.
Raspberries for afters, just like the man himself enjoyed!

Mackerel with roast veggies this evening.

All of the same as yesterday: aubergine parmigiana, orange for afters; focaccia and banana and raisin loaf cakes. Unexpected visitor which threw plans out the window. Only thing I did was make more bread for us as I gave the visitor bread.

I'm struggling for inspiration... again.

Unless I think of something I fancy more, it's going to be soup I think, probably tomato, with bread and butter and a dish of grated parmesan.

Tuna pasta bake this evening.

Possibly Chinese ribs (out of the freezer), garlic bread, salad and onion rings. The beer is already in the fridge fit the batter. ..... .the rest of the can for the cook.

Last chance for fish and chips…so I guess that’s what we’ll be having!
