Am I the only person who adores sprouts "Well cooked" when I mean well cooked I mean soft and squidgy :,, sounds awfull knowing they are not meant to be that way but I absolutely adore them when soft.

I don't mind them a bit 'al dente' OR soft like when me mum boils them to death... I just couldn't eat them like that very week!

ps my dad can only eat them with vinegar on them!

Chillimad that's exactly how I like them; all other veg I like 'al dente' but I don't think sprouts were meant to be that way.

For sprout lovers, I recently found a recipe that might appeal - I was dealing with a glut!

Boil your sprouts (600g) in salted water - chop roughly into equal sized chunks for cooking, presentation doesn't matter!! Then puree them with 150-25 ml cream, 25g butter, lots salt and pepper.

We did this with a load from the fridge and both had double helpings (served with roast pork - twas delish!) and I put the rest in freezer for another night. Probably serve up to 6 comfortably. Going to do it again this weekend as I have to gather the rest of the sprouts then before our annual lockout, and some are gone a bit over (the last lot were in fridge a couple of weeks at least).
