Most stupid question of 2009 ?

Hi Everyone,

I've not been on for a while so Happy New Year to you all.

I thought I'd try and post the most stupid question early in the year!

I cook quite a few meals the the slow cooker and wondered if I could add frozen spuds or do I thaw them first?

Its never a stupid question if you dont know the answer.
I dont have a definitive answer that I know for sure, as I've never done it, but I would probably defrost them first if I had the time. If not though, I would just chuck em in. You will then find out for sure.
Let us know though, I'm interested.

If it were frozen anything-else - peas, for example, I'd just chuck em in. All it can do is make the stew a bit more watery, so if you want to, just boil it a bit longer to thicken it up again.

Never frozen potatoes but am guessing that you can just chuck them in. Try and find out.
