    if you freeze the above leaves or indeed any edable ones,they just crumble into bits,i found this out by accident,and i rather like the idea,i use them in soups,stirfries,quiches,or what ever,it not only uses up something that would otherwise go in the compost,but is tasty and does'nt take up so much room when it's frozen,
    i also have some butternut that needs to be sorted out,so i am going to cut it up into small bits ready for stirfrying,makes life a bit easier when time is short also.

    That's an interesting idea lottie dolly.

    You can chop up fresh herbs and put into ice cube trays with a bit of water before freezing and then using in stews etc. Guess you could do something similar with edible leaves. Once frozen, you could tip them out into a bag, keep in freezer and make more in the empty trays.
