    You can, but ... cinnamon? yuk

    Dried herbs are good, as are some finely chopped chillies or sundried tomatoes, or olives.

    I don't like "white" bread, myself. I make my loaves 50/50 wholemeal and white - they are light but with a bit of goodness still in them.

    (TOP TIP: if you make cheese & onion bread, and then freeze it - do make sure to label it, because it's not very nice with marmalade on)

      Hi. I use a bread maker every day and I use olive oil instead of butter, no milk and honey instead of sugar. It tastes yummy

        I once made a 'cherry and almond' loaf (leftovers from Christmas cake, glace cherries and blanched almonds), sliced it and froze it. Remarkably nice!
        Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
