My sister made this for breakfast yesterday
Dried fruit eg Prunes, Figs, Raisins, Apricots soaked overnight in 1 pint water
Bring to boil and simmer for 10 mins
Cool and add rind and juice of an orange
Serve with plain yogurt or put on top of cereal with yourt on top.
    Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
    and ends with backache

I do the prunes and apricots only cos I don't like figs. As you say it's great with homemade muesli or granola. I like toasted nuts with mine and some thick greek yog.

You don't have to soak overnight unless they're the really dried ones. if you get the ready to eat ones, put in a pan, cover with water, add half an orange or lemon, bring to the boil and simmer til they're really soft, you can do it in about 30 mins. I always forget to soak things overnight so this works for me.
