We had a go at making it with Colmans mustard powder (which Morrisons have stopped selling now, boo hiss!), but we couldn't get it to taste like Colmans ready made stuff. It says 'spice' on the ingredients list, but we couldn't work out what that is... If anybody's tried it and got a good recipe, I'd be interested
What would you grow to get the seeds to make the mustard flour with? The seeds that you grow 'mustard & cress' with?Last edited by SarzWix; 28-02-2009, 08:17 PM.

The 'mustard and cress' (the Mustard part anyway, round seeds) should grow all right. Before the arrival of OSR (yuck!), when we saw yellow fields, we were told it was 'mustard', presumably mainly grown for 'green manure' but some for condiment making. The plants might be as big as a 'gone to seed' cabbage (same family) although I haven't ever seen one close up (that I know of).Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
