banana bread?

ok so I used to make banana bread and it was a kind of cake base with bananas in (dunno why they called it banana bread) Im not so keen on it but OH loves it. Now hes not so well anymore he cant have either sugar or any kind of sweetener as they are stimulants and he cant have any stimulants so was wandering if either I could actually make bread and add banana? (as it is called banana bread) Or if anyone has any ideas?

that sounds fab although I am wandering if it would be alright not to use the orange juice? as he is not a lover of orange juice. Arent men a pain lol

The recipe in the link does suggest pineapple juice or water as substitutes. I would think apple juice would work too.
I once made a loaf-style cake using just mashed bananas, an egg, and self-raising flour. I didn't actually measure anything, but... it worked OK (not as sweet as I would have liked, but in your case, that would be the general idea?)

I've had a pupil try banana bread which was just mashed banana added to bread dough. The texture was a bit strange but the overall taste was good. I should imagine some nuts would go well with it.

Thanks for that guys I tried the recipe in the link but seemed to come out abit stodgy!?! Dunno if its just me lol but I will keep trying and let you know
