I love Tzatsiki, and taramasalata, loads of pitta and dig in, yum.

Hi, try chopped cucumber, natural yogurt, with plenty of chopped fresh mint, very nice instead if salad cream or mayo on home grown salads....yuuuummmmy

Cucumber raitha
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cucumber
225g plain yoghurt
seasoning
heat cumin seed in dry pan for 1 min then grind.
Top and tail cuc then peel, cut lengthways into quaters remove any large seeds, then cut into v thin slices.
Mix cumin into yoghury and then stir in cuc. Season to taste.
Smash garlic and remove skins.
Peel and finely chop shallots.
Stew Garlic and shallots in olive oil to soften.
Meanwhile peal and dice cucumber, dice and de-seed pepper and chilli and add all to the pan. Stew for 10 mins.
Take pan off heat and stir in spinach and parsley to wilt them.
Tip into blender with water and almonds and liquidize or mash and whisk by hand. Season to taste.
serve warm or cold.
