Absolutely awesome Paul, thanks for that I didnt realise they had it on line.
I remember it from my grandmas 30 odd years ago and it was an A5 folded in half booklet that was brown coloured ( that could have been the age of the book though cos she said she had it for many years)

It's a wonderful little book isn't it???- my mom uses hers from the 50's too BW!!!

I keep needing to buy new ones cos I'm a reet messy cook..and the pages always end up stuck together!!!!!

I use it mostly for pastry , crumble , batter and Victoria sponge. I even buy their flour out of choice if I can find it!

I've mangaed to lose my copy so ordered another one a couple of weeks ago it's still £1.50 and the address is
The Be-Ro Kitchen, Premier House, Centrium Business Park, Griffiths Way, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 2RE.

Wouldn't be without it, I totally agree it's an essential item, all the recipe's are easy and turn out successful.

I once decided to make this recipe

but got mixed up as I wasn't paying attention and didn't realise I'd inadvertantly turned a page to this recipe

so ended up with a lovely puff pastry chicken and leek pie

Can't eat pastry anymore (terrible indigestion) so now make a version topped with mash instead, still lovely but I do miss the pastry.
