  • OverWyreGrower's winning Honey Flapjack recipe

Sorry about the measurements, we're working in old money for this!!

    3ozs marg
    2 large tablespoons of honey
    4ozs porridge oats
    2ozs self raising flour
    4ozs brown sugar

Melt the honey, marg and sugar in a pan, and then stir in the dry ingredients

Pour into a greased shallow tin and bake in a moderate oven for about 20 mins until golden brown.

Cool a little and cut into fingers, but leave in tin until cold.

    OWG tips:
I used value oats and flour for this, and dark brown soft sugar

I line my tin with baking parchment cos I can't be bothered to grease it

I cooked mine for 15 mins at 160 degrees and left to cool

Lovely, but I think you'll find you need to melt a Mars bar into the mixture

Mmmm, I've never made them before but have always wanted to give them a go. Thanks! Will try and give them a go at the weekend. - An idea for Christmas presents perhaps?

DELISH! I had to add a bit more butter and honey, but WOW! for a first attempt at baking - lovely! Taking some to Tatton Park for our picnic tomorrow !
