  • green tomatoes from blighted plants

Am I right in assuming that I can use green tomatoes from my blighted plants in my green tomato jam and chutney recipes?

I have just made a batch of green tomato chutney with blighted tomatoes, I just cut the blight off and used them as normal and, I must say, it tastes pretty good.

try the special green tomato chutney recipe, it's fab, and considering I've never made it before or eaten it, I have to say, it really is as good as everyone says it is.
And I used my blighted toms in it too.

Yes, as long as the fruit you use is sound.

Yes, cut the fruit before the blight gets in there.
Wash them, cut them in half, spread them on a tray and put the tray in the freezer.
When frozen, tip the tomatoes into a freezer bag.
Use for fried geen tomatoes - lovely.
