Just made some - WOW the chemical reaction when you add the Bicard is great.
Ollie you must be a better man than I am to manage to get it in a mould its like lava (yes I am not a man)
HELP how do I get the pan clean :-(
I kept it on low heat, next time I'll warm the mould up and use a warm spoon too so that you get as much time before it goes hard.
Just boil a kettle and pour the water over the crusty bits. It comes off like butter no problems then.
Sorry Numbers, I had read it, but was just searching ebay for suitable stuff. I've got 4 rolls of red cellophane. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the confirmation Zaz, so they cant take the heat them? Its ok to just pour the hot syrup mixture straight in? Do they stick or pop out easy?
They pop out as easy as the ice cubes do......you have to be careful at each end.
Cleaning the pan; just soak in hot water - it's all sugar so it will dissolve. Eventually.

This was just a test batch to see what it turned out like and how it tastes. Will do a few more times to get it nailed then my plan is to give it a home made Christmas presents along with Chilli Chocolate Truffles (have yet to test make any of these) and probably some home made fudge too.
Its a great recipe Ollie thank you for sharing it and its really easy too

No problem. I found it was a little too squidgy for my chrunchie-needs. Not sure what you think. It's tastey, but I needed it to be a lot crispier. Will add less syrup on the next batch I think.
I'm now having all sorts of chocolate bar ideas:
- white chocolate with cranberries
- chocolate bar with ginger
- fruit and nut
- nougat centred bar.
I think the family are going to have a chocolate over-load by new year!

I did warn of over indulgence Jilly it's a common mistake
Ollie how about dunking nuts like hazels, brazils and so on. Also oat flapjacks half dunked in chocolate.
