Just lately old gal marley has been cooking Steak by making some gravy putting it in a baking dish and the putting the steak into the gravy and covering with baking foil .
It tastes beautiful and we was wondering what type of cooking this is called....jacob

I love braised steak. Especially with a few carrots and onions thrown in for good measure. Oh and don't forget the mound of buttery mash to go with it all !

Now you are really pushing the boat out ! I tried a few of my homegrown sprouts for the first time tonight and I was really impressed. They would go great with anything !
I always braise my steak with the onions and carrots in the gravy. Just brown them off with the meat first and throw it all in. I suppose its just a shallow casserole but very very tasty !
