    I've just made the most delicious mince pies I have ever made in my life!

    Recipe was from good food

    i added half a beaten egg and was really doubtful that the 'pastry' would work, but it is great. I rolled bit of it between my palms (no extra flour or rolling out required) and then just popped a ball of it in the tin and squashed it down with a mini rolling pin.

    For the lids, i just rolled smaller bits between my palms and then squashed it till it was the right size.

    Used my own home made mincemeat from the 5,000,000 green tomatoes i had to use up earlier in the year and now i have 20 yummy mince pies...

    wonder if they'll still be there when kids come home from school and hubby gets back from Aberdeen..........

    Sounds simple enough!!
    I fancy the idea of making them a bit like scotch eggs -or eccles cakes shape
