Help needed with conversion kg to lb

  • Help needed with conversion kg to lb

    I only know lb's and oz's so can some one convert 2.560 kg into lb's please. I am cooking a boneless pork joint now and need to know how long for. 30 mins a lb plus 30 mins should do it. but how many lb's lol

      2.2lb to the kg =5.6xx lbs - 5 to give you 0.6xxlbs times 16 to get oz

            You can always put the kg into Google like this "2.560 kg to lbs" and its calculator will do it up for you in milliseconds!

            It said, "2.56000 kilograms = 5.64383391 pounds".

              Lol I dont cook meat very often as OH is vegetarian and doesnt like me doing it but at christmas I insist. Its been in about 1 hr and 15 mins and is smelling lover......ly

                    But but surely, one can see the .64 is just barely over 1/2 a pound so 8 or 9 ounces?

                        Has anyone ever noticed how stuff baking or roasting in the oven has a peak smell factor and if you wait any longer the smell is never the same but gets worse?

                        Should we calculate the "peak smell" half life?

                            A really easy conversion site is Worldwide Metric - I'm always using it, as it saves me having to engage my brain LOL

                              Pork turned out lovely daughter pinched a bit for a sandwich its now in the fridge for supper on Friday. Problem trying to cool it without the cat getting at it lol. Need to get the turkey up from the cellar and again try and keep it away from the cat.
