Hobnob biscuits - they're on special offer at the corner shop. I must stop eating them!!!!!!!
You reminded me - Jaffa Cakes! They were on special offer at the supermarket. I've got a packet hidden away in my desk drawer at work - only for emergencies, of course!

Always proper butter, but Kerrygold spreadable is proper butter but spreadable. Have started buying it for toast and toasted teacakes and all the things I shouldn't eat but do in the cold weather.

There's another comfort food - toasted teacakes, but not ones I make. I only like the ones made for me by other people, together with a cup of horlicks!

I made a Lincolnshire Plum Loaf (recipe from Hairy Bikers' Food Tour of Britain book - from Santa) and this is lovely spread with butter and also toasts a treat. Like a rich and spicy teacake.
150g (5 oz) short grain rice
1 (410g) tin evaporated milk
250ml (8 fl oz) water
100g sultanas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (LW used vanilla pod)
1/2 teaspoon cinammon (also a pinch of grated nutmeg)
Preparation method
1. Place all ingredients in slow cooker and stir well.
2. Cook on high for 2 or 2 1/2 hours, or on low for 5 to 5 1/2 hours. Stir once during the cooking time.
Simples
Woo-Hoo! I have all the ingredients for this at home.... not that it will do my waistline any good....
