  • Long Spaghetti in Blue Paper Wrapper

Does anyone remember it? It was an Italian brand - must have been around in the 1980's. I remember my father cooking with it - the same company made giant conchiglioni for stuffing.

I've google'd and can't find it - anyone know what I'm talking about?

Lord, this place is brilliant! Thanks - I've been searching for ages. I LOVE this pasta and it's years since I've seen it anywhere.

        Marvellous - thank you!

They sold long spaghetti (can't remember which make though) in Morrisons up till last year - haven't seen it in ours for a while but it might be in bigger stores still.

And in our Sainsbury's until only weeks ago. I had to settle for the shorter version; but it quite takes the fun out of it

Oh fab! An excuse to place another order (like I needed one). Thanks again for pointing me to them - one of the best food-related discoveries of last year.

Remember taking some home to my mum in the early 70`s only to find her breaking it up in the kitchen because it wouldn`t fit in the pan.

Just got in from rescuing my dad (flat battery) and popped in to Tesco (he was filling up with petrol) for a quick spot of shopping.

They are now doing Tesco Finest spaghetti - long stuff - 1kg pack for £2.59 - not cheap but I bought some to try tonight

Good tip Shirley, thanks. I like Tesco Finest pasta - pretty good bronze die stuff. The linguini from that range is one of the nicest I've tasted. I'll nip to our Tesco tomoz and see if they've got it.
