Yoghurt Question

Hmm Hilary, a litre of UHT whole milk is 89p and a small pot of live yoghurt is about 45p.....I can buy a big pot of live yoghurt for �1....so there's not that much of a saving.

The biggest pot of yoghurt I've seen is half-a-litre. I would have thought you could 'treat' at least 2 litres from a standard size pot of bought live yoghurt
�2.13 against �4 is a significant saving isn't it?

For me its not so much the saving although it helps, I just like the taste of home made yoghurt best of all.

If you buy a 6 pack of UHT milk from tesco, it works out around 56p a litre.

Not whole milk down here, only skimmed. Whole UHT is 89p....

You know, I didnt realise its only a half litre pot in the supermarket
So even at �1.34 a litre it does save a few pence.

Yeah, I can see that too.
However its not really anything if I have to throw it all out because the starter's gone bad
I,m still in two minds about it
