They were on offer the other week in T**** so I bought 3 packs for a pound thinking my children would LOVE them. Alas they hated the butterscotch (my fave) and the raspeberry, the chocolate is still in the cupboard if anyone wants it!
It seems I am raising a brood of heathens who don't know what's good for them lol
I might try them on Arctic Roll next as I see they have revived this too!
I'm sure it's nothing a sound thrashing won't cure.
Is there a reason I'm not a parent?

Surely we could make a recipe up? Mix up the mix with extra liquid to make a batter and try it out!
Not me, I hasten to add, 'cos I was force fed the stuff when I was younger and I deffo do not want to go there again, no siree.
Ok, putting my "cheffy hat" on now.
Angel Delight pancakes should work as they are predominanty starch based.
For all those of you champing at the bit to try 'em, I'd suggest making up the mix as per instructions and then whisking in enough extra milk to give a thick pouring cream consistancy. Heat a solid frying pan over a medium heat for a few minutes, then brush the base with melted butter or a little oil - as for regular pancakes.
I wouldn't try to make full size ones as the mix doesn't contain eggs and would probably be a little fragile. Stick to American pancake size - about a tablespoon full. Cook on a medium heat until showing signs of setting, then use a spatula to flip.
I would have thought that the strawberry ones would be quite nice served with berries of some sort and how about a drizzle of maple syrup over the Butterscotch ones?!
BY THE WAY! This is totally theoretical, so I accept no responsibility for Angel Delight Pancake Disasters and WILL NOT be coming over to redecorate your kitchens if it all goes horribly wrong!

I've bought....several...packets, but couldn't get them until 22:00 so will DEFINATELY be trying it tomorrow

Hmmm, the first batch really really didn't work.
The recipe is 300ml of milk for one sachet of AD, but I tried 500ml. It just bubbled in the pan and left a sticky sugary residue in the bottom.
I think the recipe will have to have flour added to keep the consistency. Will report back.

Well, they were a 'limit success'.
And by "limited" I mean "complete".
And by "success" I mean "failure".
There's something about the angel delight that isn't designed to be fried and it invariably turns into a bubbling mess. I tried adding flour but that didn't change much and then I tried whisking an egg into it. That made a pancake but it was oddly spongy and tasted slimy and weird. And to be honest, once you've added milk, flour and eggs to angel delight, you might as well save the angel delight and just have pancakes!
I'd be interested if you could find out some more details off that receptionist Rossa.
