  • Angel delight pancakes anyone?

Took my Mum to the opticians yesterday and the receptionist said that her son at Uni was trying to impress the girls in his shared house with his homemade lasagne the other day. So far, so good.

They didn't have anything for pudding but found a packet of Angel Delight in the cupboard. Made the mix up, put more liquid in it to make a batter and made pancakes out of it. Apparently it made really crispy pancakes and they all loved them..

My gran used to give us Angel Delight when I was little but can't say it's on my top ten fave list today.

Anyone got a recipe like this where they tried something that worked out differently but nice or didn't???

      Angel Delight pancakes

Sounds so wrong that it might just be right!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I love Angel delight, I know it is probably full of all the bad things you should not eat but it is easy to make, no washing up and scrummy

Just has to butterscotch - no ifs or buts. Love the stuff - was staple part of my "healthy" weegie diet when I was a wean.

Is this thread going to become; What flavour Angel Delight do you like best?

If so, mine's Butterscotch, followed by Raspberry.

                  If anyone cares LOL

Has anyone tried this or found a recipe yet?
I'm champing at the bit to get trying it and everyone I've mentioned it to (which is an unhealthy number of people) has been almost as excited by the idea as me.

I wonder if work will notice if I knock off at 3 to go and buy some

They were on offer the other week in T**** so I bought 3 packs for a pound thinking my children would LOVE them. Alas they hated the butterscotch (my fave) and the raspeberry, the chocolate is still in the cupboard if anyone wants it!

It seems I am raising a brood of heathens who don't know what's good for them lol

I might try them on Arctic Roll next as I see they have revived this too!
