lavender shortbread with your strawberries and cream, apricot and lavender jam is very nice and peach and honeysuckle butter, also did some lavender champagne- though we didnt get to try it as it all exploded in the cupboard one night

Lavender shortbread sounds nice...how much would you use in your average shortbread recipe?

I noticed my first couple of self seeded ones poking through yesterday...I was expecting loads but am guessing the cold winter caused a lot of the seeds to rot.
You're not too late to try again.

I have a funny feeling the nasturtium pot is the one my 2 yr old has had his eye on and lovingly tends, SEVERAL times a day....prob why they have not come up! Not sure what the seedlings look like, think there might be weeds coming up in the pots instead

what about elderflowers- i dunk the heads in batter and deepfry and sprinkle with sugar.
