Easter...whats your favourite recipe?

So go on then, what is it?
I dont really have one, as we dont go that over board on special food for Easter (other than the obligatory choocie eggs ) but would be interested to see what other people bake or make for the occasion - a cake, or special pudding? Or maybe it's a tradition only in your family?

Would love some inspiration!

Not a family tradition but been eating alot of it at work a simnel cake oh and hot cross buns of course.

On Easter sunday would like to have a nice leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary with sprouting broc, carrots and roast spuds. Maybe with some of my dads Apple/ mint and chillie jam. Then a rhubarb crumble for pud with custard.

Well Mother always used to make Easter biscuits which were thin shortbread type biscuits flavoured with cassia oil (aka Chinese cinnamon) - don't have the recipe until I go up and wheedle it out of her (or find Granny's recipe book in the kitchen drawer!)

Been O.D-ing on the Hot X buns (I work in a bake house for goodness sake!)
Only other Easter /Spring traditional food in our house was The Blue Peter Oxford and Cambrige Boat Race Jelly. Anyone else remember that? Or were we the only household in the country that actually made it?

Strange I know but my family love Christmas pudding so when I make them I always make enough so there is one left for Easter. I don't know why we started it but its a tradition that has now survived for the last 43 years. Thinking about it I suppose it was when we went to Kabul just after we married and I probably in my enthusiasm made too many puddings and thought we'd keep one to have at Easter as it was something that reminded us of home. Have any other grapes started a family tradition.
