    Im about to make a cherry tomato chutney....
    Do i need to thake the skins off, or are they ok to use with skins on????

    Your choice really. If you do decide to take the skins off, the easiest way to do it is to tip the tomatoes in boiling water for a second or two so the skins split.

      It's best to skin them, otherwise you get tough chewy bits in your chutney - not nice.

      Rusty is right, I tend to just chuck them in my chutney pot and pick the skins off as they float to the top (burning my fingers in the process)

        ive opted to make a apple chutney today and i will do the tomato one tomorrow
