A friend returned from Bulgaria and presented me with a sack load of crab claws. We spent the evening cooking and shelling them but I do not know what to do with them now. I have googled and most probably will make crab cakes. Any other ideas please?

Fab. Use the shells to make stock, reduce and freeze it.
Bisque, maybe with homegrown corn if you have some
Ravioli (with ricotta, breadcrumbs, flat leaf parsley and nutmeg; and egg to bind) - serve with a cream/saffron/fresh tomato sauce
A zingy Thai-style salad with lime, chili, fish sauce, palm sugar; with noodles and shredded veg
Crab sandwich with homemade mayo/breadI don't roll on Shabbos

Thanks. I cannot ponder any longer or else even the cat will turn his nose up. The claws were huge and subsequently the flesh is a bit stringy. Anyway I have decided to make crab cakes eat some and freeze the rest. I dare not give any away just in case they could cause the colly wobbles.
