I highly recommend the green tomato relish recipe in there. I made a vat of it (still got some), which is outstanding on fajitas.

            Welcome to the vine chef

That soup does look very nice. I'll be trying that.

Do you grow lots of your own ingredients?

              My Greenish thumb

Thanks for your kind words about my soup.

These days I freelance as a chef rather than work in one place so I don't have a kitchen garden. I do however have several large raised beds at my sister's house where I usually grow, courgettes, carrots, pumpkin, beetroot, various lettuces, tomatoes, potatoes, rhubarb, chard and kale.

I was thinking of posting a link offering recipe and cooking advice, so I would appreciate your thoughts on this idea? And if you think it would be useful to other members where would be the best place to post it?

If you want anymore info amout me just google Chef Kevin Ashton

We all like recipes , but you will have to check the vine rules! I'm not sure if your own recipes would be classed as advertising. I'm the wrong person to ask when it comes to all the red tape stuff .

One thing I've always want to ask a chef. When you are writing recipes would it be possible to give a list of alternative ingredients I know that sounds ridiculous, bear with me while I explain. I live in a very remote location. The nearest shop is a 28 mile round trip and it's only stocked with the basics. So if a Recipe said butter milk for example ( definitely not available in the shop, probably not even available in the only supermarket on the island (70 mile round trip )) could you put in a suggestion for replacement ?

I'm going to run and hide now! Because I've just asked a chef to change a recipe

Nice selection of veggies you grow by the way.
