  • Freezing evaporated milk

    Hi,

    I am making the OH's favourite soup tomorrow and it involves evaporated milk. I was thinking about making extra and freezing it. Does anyone have any experience of freezing evap milk? If so is it still ok afterwards.

    no idea as not tried it. Maybe put some in a small tupperware and labele it and try it?

      I can't see why a soup made including evaporated should be a problem. The only problem with freezing fresh milk is that the cream tends to separate when defrosted, so why would this be any worse?
      Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

        In case anyone is wondering, I made the soup and the evaporated milk froze and defrosted absolutely fine.
