I'm just about to try something new and thought I'd get a few ideas from my vine pals before I go ahead! My BIL loves apple and strawberry jam and i thought i'd try making some for his crimbo this year. i HATE peeling and coring apples so i have chopped a load up and chucked them in a pan and then strained the juice (a-la for jelly making).
right now i have some strawberries in the pan and plan to bring them slowly to a simmer and simmer till soft.
my next part of the plan is to then add the apple juice and sugar and boil up till setting point, then jar.
can anyone spot any obvious flaws in my cunning plan???!!!!
