Didn't Alys F just slice them and hang them on string [with spaces inbetween] and leave somewhere warm?

Don't you have to dip them in lemon juice first to stop them going brown?Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.Comment

going brown - this is what I wondered about?
Will they not go 'nasty' if they are just hung up to dry - would they be better off in a cool oven or would that 'cook' them ????Comment

Also if you just hang them what about flies/midges or even dust falling on them?Comment
