  • Ideas for a special Christmas jam please?!

    Hi all
I have trawled through the search engine, and all my cookbooks looking for *the* christmas jam to make for hampers etc.

I have made cranberry and apple chutney already, and didnt want to use cranberries again. My neighbour makes the usual orange marmalade with whisky or brandy...so I am hoping some wonderful grapes on here will give me some ideas to get the ball rolling please...

    Thank you in advance xxx

How about something unusual like home-made nutella?
I found this American recipe...I bet a splodge of orange essence in it would be yummy ( there may be another recipe if you google about a bit)...

    Nutella: A Homemade Nutella Recipe

My neighbour has given me a pot of apple jam, but she grated orange zest in it and it's got a lovely mild sort of marmalade flavour.

A few years back we picked sloes and crab apples the same trip. Missed a few sloes when separating them out so I made a crab-apple and sloe jelly. It was delish!
