Mulled cider recipes

Merry Christmas Grapes,

In October I host an annual apple pressing in the village...So we are blessed with about 750 pints of cider at the moment!...There is a gathering for carols later and I thought it might be nice to make a gallon or two of spiced hot cider, to lubricate the Xmas cheer and keep the cold out.

Anyone got a good recipe?

Not got time to google but Jamie Olive rmade some on his christmas programme the other night - there was vanilla, sugar, spices - cloves +
cinammon.... can't remember the rest! Looked good though

perry or pear cider which is a commercial name for stuff made from concentrate not from nice traditional perry pears ?

My brother bought it from a cider farm so I presume it was the good stuff!! Will do it again -tasted fab

Love perry, trouble is the trees take forever to fruit.... Off the gloustershire again this year to pick I guess !

Isn't 'pear cider' the American name for perry?

No idea Amarican is very confused Cider is our apple juice, and hard cider is our cider. Pear Cider is currently being used as a marketing name for fermented pear concentrate ugh !
