    4 oz (100g) grated mature cheddar
    8 oz(225g) plain flour
    pinch of salt
    pinch of cayenne pepper
    5 oz(150g) hard marg
    1 egg
    1 tbsp (tablespoon) cold water...

    put flour,salt,cayenne and marg in processor. Using metal blade process till like breadcrumbs. Add egg, cheese and water, and blend using pulse action.
    Wrap in clingfilm and chill.

    Best with a really well flavoured cheese.

      Roll it out (not too thin about 1/2 " thick) and cut into lengths (1/2" by 3 0r 4") for cheese straws........brush with egg then place on a greased tin and bake for about 8-10 mins at 220 deg C

        Oooh you are such a star, Binley - now what would the nation do without you?
