Is it the sauce you don't like? Or the beans - too mushy? Try thinking of them as haricot beans instead

Overcooked with a dash of honey served with baked spuds straight out of the embers of a bonfire on Nov 5th, with good friends and good beer.

It's the good beer that makes them taste so good.

My favourite comfort food has to be mashed potato with lots of butter and cream, and with smoked haddock mixed in....yum yum, gosh, drooling over pc at the thought! Bernie aka Dexterdog (home grown tatties of course!)

I don't have this wind problem. maybe its cos I've been veggie for 18+ years and my gut has evolved to cope with them. You all need to eat more!

Some people can and some people can't, unfortunately I come into the latter category!

PS Its probably the beans fermenting with Necastle Brown Ale that does it!

Takes about an hour and a half for the 'effects' to kick in Snadger, and I wouldnt advise having a bubble bath with them, you couldnt make a quick escape from the smell!!

There's something in what 2sheds says (there always is!) in that your digestive system gets used to it. I love to make artichoke soup which I make in a big pan and have for lunch several days on the go. The effect can be a bit volcanic the first day but it really does settle down as your system gets used to it. Same with beans. You need to be bold Snadger!

(PS I remember a child at school writing ' my Daddy is tall and bold') She meant he had not much hair, but the teacher was very interested to meet him on Open Night!)
